NEWPORT—The sixth annual Recovery Walk and Community Outreach is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 28, from noon until 4:00 p.m. at the Community Center parking lot, across from CVS Pharmacy.

Soul Chasing Ministries and Shake the Street Ministries are partnering in the event, which will include live entertainment, free food, free yard sale items, family activities, games, and door prizes. Free t-shirts will be given to the first 50 walkers.

Following a welcome by Belinda Jewell and a prayer, the program will kick off with remarks by Sheriff Armando Fontes and Jail Administrator Josh Hartsell.

Following the walk, testimonies will be given by Renee Freeman, Brandon Dunn, Kelly Jones, David Kline, Teresa Brady, Tammy Bryant, Jesse Hunt, and Jewell.

Music and drawing for door prizes will be interspersed between speakers.
