NEWPORT—Each year, the fundraiser hosted by and benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dumplin Valley Newport Branch, provides the organization the ability to serve more kids.
The Clubs partner with numerous sponsors & volunteers to host a successful event, offering lots of great auction items to everyone who loves bidding for items and supporting the children of Cocke County.
“Boys & Girls Clubs of Dumplin Valley exists to provide kids with quality after school programming to keep them on track to academic success and a great future,” said Jessica Page, Boys & Girls Clubs of Dumplin Valley CEO.
“Support of the Annual Auction for the Newport Branch makes it possible to deliver programming, food, and a place that’s fun and gives Cocke County kids a safe space to go after school and through the summer.
“We know that if we aren’t here for the kids, they’ll find someplace else to spend their time after school, so it’s important to us to host fundraisers like the auction to make sure we are always here offering them a safe space to have fun, make friends and guide and mentor them towards a great future.”
Will Marshall, Club Director, said, “While you’re doing your spring cleaning or getting ready to sell your home, please remember the Boys & Girls Club of Dumplin Valley Newport.
“We love antiques, UT memorabilia, land, vacation rentals from anywhere, concert tickets, furniture, appliances, cars, trucks, boats, artwork, cookware, dishes, gift certificates, etc. Anything you can donate to our Clubs would be so much appreciated by our members. Remember, your donation helps our Club kids all year long.”
Every year the Auction grows and draws crowds from all over the area. Patrons are able to purchase lunch, find a great item on which to bid, and learn about all the Club has to offer to Cocke County’s children and how much the support of the community is needed for their futures. Your purchase at the auction will go a long way to providing the needs for the members of the Club.
This year’s auction will take place on Saturday, October 26 at 9 a.m.
