NEWPORT—Three individuals sustained serious injury Monday afternoon following a single car accident on Interstate 40.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol identified the victims as Majorie Beasley, 51, Rincon, GA, and two 14-year-old juveniles.

On Monday, several first responders were dispatched to the area of Interstate 40 near mile marker 443 due to the accident.

Upon arrival, THP Troopers learned that Beasley was traveling westbound when she hydroplaned due to heavy rain and left the side of the roadway and struck a guardrail.

The 2011 Honda Pilot that Beasley was operating then traveled back on the roadway and struck another guardrail.

According to the report, the impact of the collision ejected the two juvenile males onto the roadway.

THP reported all occupants were transported to the UT Medical Center where they are listed in stable condition.
