Jason Young, age 71, of
Newport, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2008, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital
in Jefferson City.
He was retired from Norfolk
Southern Railroad after 33 years of service.
He was preceded in death by
his parents, Emma and Raymond Young; grandparents, Mark and Lanie Young, Bob
and Nannie Sheffey; uncle, Bill Sheffey; and nephew, Bobby Ramsey.
He is survived by his son,
Todd Holt, of Ala.; sisters, Betty Horvat, of Ill.; Joan Ramsey, of Cosby;
Charlene Phillips, of Newport; nephews, Danny and Dennis Ramsey, of Cosby;
Barry Phillips, of Del Rio; David Horvat, of Ill.; niece, Rachel Callison, of
Morristown; aunt, Sara Sheffey.
Also a special great-nephew,
Hunter Phillips.
The family will receive
friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at Brown Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be at
8:00 p.m. with the Rev. Ransom Hall officiating.
Interment will be at 11:00
a.m., Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at Cotheran Cemetery.
