OHIO--Roy A. Holt, of Olmsted Twp., Beloved husband ofMary (nee Polenz).

Lovingfather of Leigh Anne. Beloved son of Roy and Helen (nee Gillespie).

Dearestgrandson of the late Ernest and Naomi (nee Cogar) Gillespie. Dear brother ofJames (Amy), Elizabeth Stansbury and Sandra L. Holt.

Dear nephewof Darlene Leach (Francis, deceased), Sandra Valentine (Donald), Roberta Birch(Edward L.) and Gene (Doris).

Alsosurvived by James Edward, James Roy and Amanda Grace, nephews, nieces, lovingcousins and dear friends.

Roy was adirect descendent of Peter Cogar, a Revolutionary War soldier that fought withthe troops of General George Washington.

He waspreceded in death by his grandparents, Ruble and Willie Mae (nee Green) Holt,of Newport.

Roy AllenHolt led a team of individuals that were responsible for maintaining the mostrobust AT&T network in the local network services, New York City. On 9/11while entering the World Trade Center 2, the building which he and his teamcalled home, a huge blast shook the building.

As othersrushed past Roy to the exits, Roy continued to the B6 level where his team wasat work. Roy gathered all of the AT&T personnel and contractors and beganto lead the team up to the ground level.

As the teammade their way through the streets, the building collapsed when they were nomore than 200 yards away from the towers.

Because ofRoy's unselfish acts of heroism, no AT&T personnel died from this terroristact on our country.

This worldwill not be the same without Roy Allen Holt; such a good man is seldom seen.

Roy made adifference in the lives of so many people because of all he was and all he didfor others. He will be so well remembered.
