Ida Lou Taylor, age 74 of Newport passed away Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Newport Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Mack Taylor.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Mitchell and Sue Taylor of Jonesboro, Steven and Loretta Taylor of Bybee; daughters and sons-in-law, Wilda and Jim McCurry of Alabama, Karen Taylor, Vickie and Trevor Faught all of Newport; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Frances Smith of Morristown, Billy Frank and Christine Smith, Denver and Loanna Smith all of Newport; grandchildren, Kristin Wagers and husband Walter of Knoxville, Stephanie Taylor, Tabitha Taylor both of Bybee and Jimmy McCurry of Alabama; devoted friend, Mary Alice Gorman of Newport; also other family and friends.

Graveside services will be held 3:30 p.m. Sunday, October 25, 2009 in Oven Creek Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Ellison officiating.
