Dear Editor,

I and all of us at Celebrate Life are struggling with how we can ever find the words to express our overwhelming gratitude and thanksgiving for the beautiful experience of the 10th annual Cruise Against Cancer held Saturday April 28th at Lowe’s in Newport. There simply are no words I can write that will take you to the joyful realm where I now reside. So we simply say, “ Thank You” to:

Our Gracious Heavenly Father…

Nathan Manning, without him there would be no Cruise Against Cancer…

Tracy Brimmer and Lowe’s Home Improvement…

Faye Fish and Modern Woodmen…

Hard Times Street Rod Club…

Rhonda Rice and the Taste of Dandridge…

Kimberly Richmond and Pepsi Bottling Group…

Food City of Newport (both locations)…

Dr. Stinson and VIP Physical Therapy…

Jeff Cody and Rocky Top Grafix…

The Band, AM Station…

Ben Hicks and the City of Newport Street Department…

David Veridal and Keep Cocke County Beautiful…

Media partners… Newport Plain Talk/WLIK Radio/Ray Snader WNPC/WBIR-TV10 Knoxville/WATE-TV6 Knoxville/ WCYB TV5 Bristol…

An astounding number of Volunteers, Sponsors, Donors, and Participants too numerous to count.

A special thank you to these outstanding individuals, Sharon Manning and Family, Danny and Kathy Webb & Family, Freddie and Kathy Campbell, Buddy and Kim Tatum & Family, Jessica Manning, Don Johnson, Ben Williams and Angela Shelton and all the members of Celebrate life who did anything and everything they could to make the day go smoothly.

Celebrate Life is an all volunteer group of cancer survivors and caregivers who know first- hand what a cancer diagnosis can do to a person and their family. Our goal is to help, give hope and compassion. In turn, we are constantly inspired and encouraged by their bravery and faith. We are blessed to live in a community that sees our vision and honors our work with their support. I ask our Loving God to bless this community abundantly for their goodness to us.

Yours Truly,

Michele Sexton
