The Reverend Jeffery Blaine Sutton, age 49, of Newport, passed away June 24, 2009, at his home.

  He was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Newport, Tenn.

  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, the Rev. Leonard and Tina (Jenkins) Sutton and Mrs. Maggie (Grooms) Phillips; father-in-law, the Rev. Walter McKinney.

  He is survived by his wife, Peggy Sutton; father, J.L. Sutton; mother, Betty Sutton; daughter, Melissa (Larry) Barnes; son, Donald (Leslie) Sutton; grandson, Sawyer Barnes; brother, Keith Sutton; nephews, Jeremy Sutton and Daniel Sutton; and several other nieces and nephews; and mother-in-law, Mrs. Nell McKinney.

  Graveside services were held Wednesday, June 24, 2009, in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
