Wesley Clark Ellison, of Del Rio, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at Johnson City Medical Center at the age of 99.

He was preceded in death by his father, George W. Ellison, and his mother, Rebecca Cooper Ellison; brothers, Bertie, Clealand, and George Ellison; sisters, Lillie Pack, Louise Metcalf, Sarah Tucker, Katherin Pack, Helen Cook, Mary O'Dell, Elizabeth, Hattie, and Gertrude Ellison; his first wife, Margaret Corn Ellison; sons, Charles, Leon, and Royal Ellison; daughter-in-law, Francis Ellison; son-in-law, Virgle Marion.

Survivors include his wife, Ethel Marie Ellison; son, Ted Marven Ellison; daughters, Effie Marion, Irene Williams, Imogene Turner, Betty Lou Wills, Edith Greenwald, Shirley Willis, Frances Ensley, and Hope McLain; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 2, 2009, in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home.

Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 3, 2009, at the Ellison Family Cemetery in Del Rio; the family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 2, 2009, prior to the service at the funeral home.
