Roy Williams, age 94, of Cosby, had his Glory Land homecoming Friday, October 23, 2009, at 1:55 p.m.

He was a member of Holders Grove Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife Blanche, infant daughter Susan, and daughter Venease. He was also preceded in death by his wife Wanda and son Michael.

He is survived by his sons Paul (Betty) Williams of Cosby; Carl (Lynn) Williams of Sevierville; Lee Roy Williams of Seymour; Gary (Corliss) Williams of Mesa, AZ; stepson Jimmy (Dorothy Williamson of Cosby; eleven grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; one niece Vickie Tipton of North Carolina; daughter-in-law Sandi Preske of AZ; and son-in-law Jerry Van Wormer of Newport.

Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 25, 2009, in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Kris Brady and Rev. Mark Williams officiating.

A private graveside service will be held on Monday, October 26, 2009, at Waters-Large Cemetery in Cosby.

The family will receive friends on Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home.
