Charges filed Randy K. Hurley, 42, 1666 Allen's Chapel Road, Parrottsville, was charged by Deputy Steve Johnson on Saturday with aggravated assault and domestic violence after officers responded to a dispute at 524 Overlook Way. According to Johnson, upon officers' arrival, they found Randy Hurley and Michael Hurley at the residence. Johnson said that Michael Hurley told him that Randy Hurley, identified as an uncle, refused to leave his home and the two began to argue, upon which, Michael Hurley alleged, Randy Hurley tried to stab him with a table fork. Charges result Tim L. D. Banks was charged with first offense DUI and violation of the open container law by Sgt. Armando Fontes on Monday. According to Fontes, officers noticed a white Accord operated by Banks weaving across the double yellow line on North Street and later stopped it on Musterfield Road. According to Fontes, Banks' blood alcohol content was .27 at the time and an open container of alcohol was found in the vehicle. Fain charged Brandon Fain, 26, 665 Sixth Street, was charged with first offense DUI and violation of the open container law by Sgt. Armando Fontes and Reserve Deputy Josh Veridal on Tuesday after officers came upon a white Cadillac sitting in the middle of Raccoon Valley Road with its lights off. According to reports, officers stopped to check on the automobile occupants' well-being and discovered Fain in an intoxicated state. Also arrested was passenger, Edward Goins, of Morristown, who was described as "highly intoxicated. Officers said two children in the car were taken to their mother's home, and that another occupant, who was "not impaired" was transported by another officer. Owens charged Jessica Owens, 27, 616 Lehigh Drive, Newport, was charged with violation of probation by Deputy Steve Johnson on Friday. Charged at festival Brian Carver, 32, 124 Nightingale Way, was charged with public intoxication by Deputy Randall Hartsell on Sunday. Taylor Charged Candice Taylor, 27, 610 South Cecil Street, Newport, was charged with violation of probation by Deputy Steve Johnson on Saturday. Haney charged After officers received a complaint of an intoxicated male "beating on residence doors" along Rock City Road, Sgt. Armando Fontes and Reserve Deputy Josh Veridal arrested Ronald Haney, 52, 421 Rock City Road, and charged him with public intoxication. Multiple charges Anthony Glenn Martin, 34, 421 Hwy. 25/32, White Pine, faces multiple charges following his arrest by Cocke County Sheriff Department officers on Thursday. According to officers, they responded to a call to 114 Big B Way where they found Martin in the home of April Banks. Described in reports as Martin's "former girlfriend." Martin was charged with violation of an order of protection, aggravated burglary, aggravated domestic assault and kidnapping. Vehicle fire Deputy Derrick Webb responded to a call concerning a burning vehicle on O'Neil Road, Newport, on Monday. According to Webb, a 2006 Pontiac, owned and operated by Ronald L. Farley, 430 Ann Circle, burned. Webb said Farley told him the vehicle backfired and then began to smoke as he traveled along the road. The vehicle was totally destroyed by the blaze. ACCIDENTS No charges filed No charges were filed after a two-vehicle accident Monday on Long Creek Road, according to Lt. Jonathan Morgan. The accident occurred, said Morgan, when a 1996 Oldsmobile, driven by Elizabeth A. Gilliam, 18, 1030 Gunter Corner Road, Parrottsville, rounded a curve and struck a 1984 Dodge, driven by Chad E. Winters, 28, 3229 Long Creek Road, Parrottsville. One-vehicle accident Sabrina Stokely, 31, 3510 Kenyon Road, Parrottsville, told Deputy Derrick Webb that the tires of the 2004 Ford F-150 she was driving on South Hwy. 107 last Thursday dropped off the roadway causing her to overcorrect and lose control of the vehicle which then overturned. The truck was owned by Wayne Gorrell, same address. Webb said that Stokely was transported to Baptist Hospital of Cocke County by private vehicle. One-vehicle crash Laura L. Beilman, 3850 Glendale Road, Bybee, lost control of the 2005 Toyota she was driving on Shady Road on Monday, according to Lt. Richard Caldwell.
