NEWPORT--Newport Utilities (NU) now accepts payment by major credit card and by electronic check without an additional convenience fee.

Customers can now make payments of up to $1,000 for utility services using their Visa, MasterCard, or Discover Card without an additional fee.

No additional fee will be charged for payments made by electronic check as well.

Payment by credit card may be done online at www.newportutilites.com, by telephone at (423) 625-2800, or in person at 170 Cope Boulevard.

NU is pleased to offer this improvement in credit card payments and will continue to look for ways to improve customer service.

NU is working with National Information Systems Cooperative to make these improvements to credit card payment options.
