The Newport Plain Talk

The United States Marshals Service's Eastern District of Tennessee branch was in Cocke County last week as part of operation Falcon. Operation FALCON is a nationwide fugitive apprehension operation coordinated by the United States Marshals Service (USMS). The resources of federal, state, city and county law enforcement agencies are combined to locate and apprehend criminals wanted for crimes of violence. A press conference was scheduled late this morning at the U.S. District Courthouse in Greeneville to discuss details of the operation in the region.
