Among the items to be discussed is a resolution to authorize an application for a $500 Community Development Block Grant to provide water to the Bybee area. Three other resolutions deal with bond issues. The first is an effort by Cumberland Securities to refinance some of the county's bonds to a short-term, low fixed-rate bond that will last for an estimated two to three years. The other bonds resolution would allow the county to borrow $2.5 million for need projects such as roads and school buses. Another resolution on Tuesday's agenda authorizes the application of a 2009 federally funded grant for $500,000 for rehabilitation of low-income households. Other items to be discussed include: ¥ Appointing a constable for the 6th District to fulfill the unexpired term of Ralph Giles, who recently passed away. ¥ Approving a revised purchasing manual presented by the Purchasing Committee. ¥ Accepting a long-range maintenance plan adopted by the Cocke County Highway Department. Reports from Director of Schools Manney Moore, Partnership President Jennifer Wilson, Allied EMS Director Butch Jarnagin and Animal Shelter Director Carol Hood are also agenda.
