PARROTTSVILLE--Entries are being accepted for the Spring in the Mountains Festival Pageants, sponsored by Alpha Eta Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha (ESA).

 

The pageants are set for Saturday, June 6, at Parrott-Larue-Myers Park in Parrottsville, during the Spring in the Mountain Festival, which is sponsored by the American Red Cross.

 

Baby pageants will begin at 11 a.m., followed by children pageants at 12:30 p.m., then queen pageants at 1 p.m.

 

Baby pageant divisions are for newborn to 12-month-old girls, 13 to 23-month-old girls, and newborn to 23-month-old boys.

 

Children pageants are for girls ages 2 to 3 and ages 4 to 5.

 

Queen pageants are for girls ages 6 to 8, 9 to 11, 12 to 15, and 16 to 21.

 

The winner of each division will receive a crown, sash, and trophy. First and second runner-ups will receive a trophy.

 

All contestants will receive a participation trophy. Participants do not have to be Cocke County residents.

 

Pre-registration is required to participate for the price of $35 per contestant. Late entries will have a $5 late fee assessed.

 

Registration forms will be accepted Friday, June 5, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on the courthouse lawn. All entries received after 6:30 p.m. on Friday, June 5, will have the late fee assessed.

 

The registration deadline is 30 minutes before the scheduled time for the pageant to begin. The first to enter will be the last to model.

 

Any forms being mailed must be postmarked by June 2 and sent to: Misty Myers, 224 Golf Club Drive, Newport TN 37821. Do not send cash in the mail, only send money orders made payable to Misty Myers.
