The Parrottsville Cub Scout Pack 497 is asking for assistance from Cocke County residents. The cub scouts know that the holidays are a hard time of year for families across America to make ends meet. This year, in conjunction with "Scouting for Food", Pack 497 is holding a food drive to benefit families in Cocke County.

Please send canned and non-perishable food items to any area elementary school prior to Nov. 20. All food that is receives will be distributed on Saturday, Nov. 21 at Parrottsville Park from 12:30 until 3 P.M.

The pack will also have the district-wide scout sign-up from 9 A.M. to 1 P.M. Financial assistance is available, as "no boy is ever turned away from scouting".

Please join the Parrottsville Cub Scout Pack 497 in giving thanks for all you have and help to make this holiday season better for someone in need.
