DUI: Eric N. Frank, 61, Green Corner Road, Hartford, was arrested by the Cocke County Sheriff’s Office for driving under the influence on Monday, Sept. 30. Deputy Joshua Matthews conducted a routine traffic stop after he observed a vehicle operating without lights. At that time, Deputy Matthews came in contact with the driver, identified as Frank, who had slurred speech and an odor of alcohol about his person. Deputies attempted to administer a field sobriety test to Frank, but he denied all tests. Frank was placed under arrest. According to the report, Frank became “belligerent” and cursed at deputies. He was charged with driving under the influence.
Probation violation: Scott Russell Williams, 45, Allen Head Road, was served with an active outstanding warrant for violation of probation on Monday, Sept. 30. Deputy Dylan Norton served Williams the warrant at the Cocke County Jail Annex.
Probation violation: David Wayne Frazier, 57, Jayce Way, was served with an active outstanding warrant for violation of probation on September 27. Deputy Jacob Damron served Frazier the warrant at the Cocke County Jail Annex.
Theft: A 2018 Hurst utility trailer was reported stolen to the Cocke County Sheriff’s Office on Monday, Sept. 30. Sgt. Chris Barnes said the trailer was reported stolen from the Grassy Fork Volunteer Fire Department Station 2 and was last seen on September 26. The estimated loss was $3,000.
Man reports alleged fraud: A Del Rio man came to the Cocke County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday afternoon to file a fraud report. Sgt. Chris Barnes spoke with the male victim, who said on August 25, he agreed to a contract with Mike Felix, 58, Sevierville, to repair a roof at his residence. According to the report, the victim paid Felix $7,375 in cash on that day and Felix never returned to begin the job. The victim said he has tried to contact Felix several times to no avail.
