Warrant served: Jacob D. Presnell, 23, was served with an active outstanding warrant for violation of probation on Thursday, March 14. Patrolman Paul Weber arrested Presnell following a traffic stop without incident.

Probation violation: Charles A. Black, 28, Harper Circle, was served with an active outstanding warrant for violation of probation on Wednesday, March 13. Patrolman Joshua Bigus arrested Black without incident.

Warrants served: Rheannon Black, 42, McSween Springs Road, was served with active outstanding warrants for probation violation and failure to appear (two counts) on Wednesday, March 13. Patrolman Joshyua Shults arrested Black without incident.

Two juveniles charged: A traffic stop led to the arrest of two juveniles on Wednesday, March 13 in Newport. Patrolman Shane Bower reported the reason for the traffic stop was due to a non-operational brake light. At that time, Ptl. Bower came in contact with two juvenile females. According to the report, Ptl. Bower said he detected an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a scale and 6.2 grams of marijuana. Both females were charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia and were taken into custody.
