Fight: Officers were dispatched to Pit Stop, located on Cosby Highway, concerning an altercation on Sunday, June 2. Upon arrival, Sgt. Billy Woody spoke with witnesses who confirmed via cell phone video of Nikki N. Gibson, 39, Krista L. James, 21, and Taylor M. Norton, 23, all involved in a physical altercation. All three were arrested and charged with assault.
Probation violation: Terryi L. Whitlock, 27, Laurel Springs Road, was served with an active outstanding warrant for violation of probation on Monday, June 3. Patrolman Chris Silvers served Whitlock the warrant at the Cocke County Jail Annex.
Probation violation: Brandon J. Duncan, 28, Friendship Road, was served with an active outstanding warrant for violation of probation on Monday, June 3. Patorlman Chris Silvers arrested Duncan without incident and transported him to the Cocke County Jail Annex.
Stolen bra leads to arrest: Officers were dispatched to Walmart concerning an active shoplifter on Tuesday, June 4. Upon arrival, Patrolman Will Garber spoke with the manager who said she observed Elizabeth M. Becker, 35, Raymond Way, take a bra into the dressing room, but did not come back out with it. According to the report, Becker admitted to putting the bra on in an attempt to steal it. The estimated theft was $10. She was charged with shoplifting.
Probation violation: Kristin N. White, 36, no address, was served with active outstanding warrants for violation of probation (three counts) on Sunday, June 2. Patrolman Johnathan Ball arrested White without incident and transported her to the Cocke County Jail Annex.
Probation violation: Cynthia Pierce, 40, no address, was served with active outstanding warrants for violation of probation (two counts) on Tuesday, June 4. Patrolman Michael Robey arrested Pierce without incident and transported her to the Cocke County Jail Annex.
DUI: Officers were dispatched to Walmart concerning a possible shoplifter leaving the store on Monday, June 3. Sgt. Derek Wright reported he found the suspected vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. At that time, he came in contact with the driver, Camryn A. Gregg, 22, Chavis Road, who had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, an odor of alcohol about her person, and she was unsteady on her feet. Officers administered field sobriety test to Gregg and she performed poorly on all test given. Gregg was placed under arrest without incident. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed several empty and full alcohol containers and a baggie that contained 4.83 grams of marijuana along with a grinder. Gregg was charged with DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia, simple possession, and violation of implied consent.
