COSBY--The Maid of Ramps reached its capacity with a
total of 20 entries having been received Monday morning. The pageant will be
held during the Cosby Ruritan Club Ramp Festival on Sunday, May 4, at noon on
Kineauvista Hill.
The last four contestants are being announced today.
Nikki Smith, the 16-year-old daughter of Eva Smith, of
Newport, is a junior at Cocke County High School.
She is an honor roll student, a member of Beta Club, a
varsity softball player, and a varsity cheerleader for three years. In
addition, Smith is a National Academic Achievement Award winner and has been
named to the National Honor Roll.
Her hobbies include cheerleading, gymnastics, softball,
and entering beauty pageants.
After graduation, Smith plans to pursue a career in
sports physical therapy.

Center, she will wear a turquoise V-neck halter style gown of charmeuse satin
featuring a split along the front left leg area with straps in the back and
beading and stones.
Preanna Flora Marie Davis, the 17-year-old daughter of
Paula Cook Davis, of Hartford, is a Cosby High School student.
She has completed dual enrollment Calculus I and is
currently enrolled in dual enrollment Calculus II, statistics, and history.
Her honors include receiving the Daughters of the
American Revolution (DAR) Good Citizen Award, being crowned 2006 Cocke County
A&I Fair Junior Miss, 2006 Teen Miss Maid of Ramps, and being named to the
United States Achievement Academy. She is a member of Cosby Academy, Math Club,
Leadership and Peer Solutions, and is vice president of Student Council.
In her free time, she enjoys playing basketball, hunting,
and fishing.

evening gown featuring silver and gold embellishments.
Brandi Jolene Worex, the 18-year-old daughter of Jimmy
and Karen Worex, of Newport, is a senior at Cocke County High School.
She enjoys spending time with friends, swimming,
shopping, and dancing. She plans to pursue a career in business.
Sponsored by Poe's Sports Center, she will wear a pink
full-length gown.
Macey Gentry, the 17-year-old daughter of Gary and Angie
Gentry, of Newport, is a student at Cocke County High School.
She has been named to National Honor Roll and is a member
of Beta Club.
Her hobbies include reading, photography, scrapbooking,
and playing with her dog, Lucky.
Gentry said she will attend Carson-Newman College to
major in pre-medicine.
Sponsored by her parents, she will wear a floor-length
champagne-colored beaded gown accented with a train.
