Steve Spurrier (right) is presented a key to the
city from Newport Mayor Connie Ball (left) Thursday. Spurrier renewed
acquaintances with fellow Newport Grammar School fifth grade classmates and
their teacher, Reba Williams, during a reunion luncheon at Cracker Barrel Old
Country Store and restaurant in Newport. Spurrier, now head football coach at
the University of South Carolina, attended Newport Grammar School in the first
through fifth grades. We'll have more on Spurrier's visit and more photos
coming up in Sunday's Sports.
