NEWPORT-The opening round of the English Mountain Football Conference playoffs is in the books.

In opening round, Division 1, Grasscutter play last Saturday, Newport Rolled past New Center 45-6, while Pigeon Forge downed Talbott 20-6 in the AFC. In the NFC, Sevierville blanked Northview 26-0, while Jefferson City held off Dandridge 13-6.

In Super Grasscutter, AFC, action, Parrottsville 27-13, while White Pine edged Pigeon Forge 20-18. In the NFC, Granger County downed Jefferson City 26-14, and Sevierville rolled past Dandridge 41-0.

In Pee Wee, AFC, action, White Pine blanked Edgemont 14-0, and Newport Held off Pigeon Forge 19-13. In the NFC, Northview cruised past Grainger County 41-6. And, Sevierville beat Cosby 48-26.

In Division 2, Grasscutter, AFC, action, Parrottsville shut out White Pine 25-0, while Gatlinburg blanked Edgemont 18-0. In the NFC, Strawplains shut out Cosby 12-0. Grainger County had a bye.

In Super Grasscutter, AFC, action, Gatlinburg cruised past Talbott 35-0, while Edgemont downed New Center 20-13. In the NFC, Strawplains rolled past Cosby 40-0. Northview had a bye.

And in Pee Wee, AFC, action, New Center crushed Talbott 45-0, while Gatlinburg beat Parrottsville 19-2. In the NFC, Dandridge shut out Strawplains 19-0. Jefferson City had a bye.

The second round of the playoffs are slated for tomorrow, Saturday, November 1.

Divison 1, Grasscutter, AFC, has Pigeon Forge at Newport starting at 2:30 p.m., while in the NFC, Jeff City travels to Sevierville starting at 12 p.m.

Division 2, Grasscutter, AFC, has Gatlinburg at Parrottsville starting at 12 p.m., while in the NFC, Strawplains plays at Grainger County at 2:30 p.m.

Division 1, Super Grasscutter, AFC, has Parrottsville at White Pine starting at 3 p.m., while in the NFC, Sevierville travels to Grainger County at 4 p.m.

Division 2, Super Grasscutter, AFC, as Edgemont at Gatlinburg at 2:30 p.m., while in the NFC, Strawplains plays at Northview with kickoff at 2:30 p.m.

Division 1, Pee Wee, AFC, has Newport at White Pine at 1:30 p.m., while in the NFC, Sevierville plays at Northview at 4 p.m.

Division 2, Pee Wee, AFC, has Gatlinburg at New Center starting at 12 p.m., and in the NFC, Dandridge plays at Jeff City at 12 p.m.
