NEWPORT-William Brownlow Marsh was sworn in Monday as an Assistant District Attorney for the Fourth Judicial Circuit by Circuit Court Judge Ben W. Hooper, II. In his new position, Marsh will be working in Cocke, Grainger, Jefferson, and Sevier Counties. He was appointed by Fourth Judicial District Attorney General James B. "Jimmy" Dunn.

 

Marsh graduated from UTK in August, 1972, the UT School of Law in December, 1975, and was admitted to the Bar in May, 1976.

 

He worked for the Fourth Judicial District Attorney's office from 1997-1999 and served as Special Assistant United States Attorney in Nashville and Knoxville from 1999-2008.

 

Now that he has returned to the Fourth Judicial District, he will be working at the Cocke County branch.

 

"I am truly excited about Brownlow's return," said Dunn, "and I am eager to work with him."

 

Marsh said, "I am looking forward to returning and serving the people of Cocke County."
