Easter egg hunts planned

With Easter fast approaching, many community Easter egg hunts are scheduled.
Egg hunts will begin Saturday, April 4. Centerview Ruritan Club will host an Easter egg hunt at Centerview ballfield, near the intersection of Highway 160 and Airport Road, at 1 p.m., April 4.
The Tennessee Meth Free Project will sponsor the First Annual Resurrection Recovery Event and Community Easter egg hunt Saturday, April 4, from 1 to 4:30 p.m. at the Tanner Cultural Center, off Cosby Highway (next to the Community Center). The egg hunt will begin at 1:30 p.m., and children should bring their own basket.  
On Sunday, April 5, one Easter egg hunt is scheduled. Natural Bridge Ruritan Club will host the Parrottsville Community Easter Egg Hunt starting at 3 p.m. at Parrott-Larue-Myers Park. The event is open to children up to 12 years of age.
The following weekend, on Saturday, April 11, the annual Newport Parks and Recreation Easter egg hunt will be held at 12 noon at Newport City Park. The event is open to children up to 10 years of age.
White Pine Ruritan Club will sponsor its annual Easter egg hunt at the Lions Club Pavilion, off Roy Messer Highway in White Pine, on Saturday, April 11, at 1 p.m.
There will age groups for children up to 2 years, 3 to 5 years, grades one through three, and grades four through six. Eggs will be provided for the children, but each child should bring a basket for the eggs. Refreshments will be served, and there will be prizes for each category.
Tentatively on that date, Cosby F.C.E. Club will host an Easter egg hunt at the On Cosby Visitors Center, near the intersection of Highways 321 and 32, at 3 p.m.
Information will be announced about the Grassy Fork Community Club Easter egg hunt at a later date.
