The Cocke County Grand Jury ended its two-day session this week by hearing a total of 125 criminal cases.
The panel reported to Circuit Judge Ben W. Hooper II on Tues-day afternoon and returned 17 in-dictments and 28 presentments, which the judge ordered sealed from public inspection.
Combined with the 80 cases heard on Monday by the grand jury, Tuesday's 45 cases mean the panel reported findings in 125 cases, re-turning 78 indictments, 40 sealed presentments, six presentments which were opened for public view-ing, and one no true bill clearing the person accused of the charges against him.
Presentments differ from indict-ments in that presentments originate with the grand jury rather than with criminal warrants and proceedings in general sessions court. Present-ments are routinely sealed from public inspection until the arrest of the person accused.
By returning a no true bill, the grand jury found insufficient evi-dence or other legal reasons for not pursuing the charges against the person accused.
Arraignments for those accused by the grand jury this week are set for Monday, May 11, at 9 a.m. be-fore Judge Hooper.
Here is a list of the persons named on indictments returned by the grand jury on Tuesday. Court records do not identify persons named by age, address, or occupa-tion, and there may be other people with the same, or similar names.
•Harrison Frazier, who is charged with aggravated assault of Jessica Frazier, of 1122 Loch Ness Way, Parrottsville, on January 11.
•Harvey Hartsell, who is charged with assault of Freda Hartsell, of 745 Under The Mountain Road, Cosby, on April 22, 2008.
•Todd Olden, who is charged with two counts of assault of Brandy Strom and Penny Strom, both of 3802 East Highway 25/70, Del Rio, on February 19.
•Thomas Grant Williams, who is charged with assault of  Terry Young, of 215 Cody Road, White Pine, on April 3.
•Jeffery Ray Grooms Jr., who is charged with two counts of passing worthless checks valued at less than $500 on August 23 and 24.
•Jeremy Shane Grooms, who is charged with theft of property val-ued at less than $500, identified as a watch belonging to Wal-Mart, on January 1.
•Theresa Clanin Frazier, who is charged with theft of merchandise, identified as a watch and sunglasses from Wal-Mart, on February 8.
•Harrison Frazier, who is charged with theft of merchandise, identi-fied as DVDs and CDs from Wal-Mart, on December 23.
•Victoria Nicole Campbell, who is charged with theft of merchandise, identified as nail polish, jewelry cleaner, and other property belong-ing to Wal-Mart on January 6.
•Nicholas D. Boswell, who is charged with theft of merchandise, identified as packages of meat from Food City in the Western Plaza shopping center, on June 24. In a second indictment, Boswell is also charged with theft of merchandise, identified as  packages of meat from Food City in the East Broad-way Shopping Center on December 31.
•Shawn Gregory, who is charged with theft of property valued at less than $500, identified as cash be-longing to the Fourth Judicial Dis-trict Drug Task Force on February 24.
•Clifton Matthew Shelton, who is charged with theft of merchandise, identified as clothing belonging to Wal-Mart on February 16.
•Ashley Nicole Huff, who is charged with theft of merchandise, identified as clothing from Wal-Mart, on February 16.
•Derek F. Markley, who is charged with theft of merchandise, identi-fied as clothing from Wal-Mart, on January 9.
•Roy Stanley McGraw, who is charged with driving on a sus-pended, canceled, or revoked li-cense and speeding on March 27.
•Michael Eugene Palmer, who is charged with violation of the state driver's license law, having no driver's license, violation of the seat belt law, violation of the state law governing registration taxes for freight motor vehicles, and viola-tion of the financial responsibility law on August 30.
