DANDRIDGE--There will be a benefit bean supper
for a cancer victim on Saturday, May 9, from 4 to 8 p.m.
The benefit is for Dale Anne Ladd, wife of the
Reverend Mike Ladd. The Rev. Ladd serves as pastor of the Hills Union Circuit,
which includes four United Methodist churches in the Dandridge area.
Dale Anne has been fighting cancer since 1985. All
donations are appreciated, organizers said.
The benefit will be held at the home of Wayne (Dobie)
and Eutha (Blue) Welch. From Bush Brothers, follow the signs to McGaha Hollow
Road. Then go to the flashing light and follow the signs.
Everyone is invited to enjoy an evening of fun and
fellowship. Meals will include beans, onions, potatoes, coleslaw and cornbread
served with desserts and drinks.
Special desserts will be available for purchase. There
will also be cakewalks, auctions, and other activities.
