Cocke County native Clyde Bell, Sr., third from left, will be featured on "Heartland Series" this coming week. Bell will share stories of his days as the CCC worker who accompanied photographer Charles Grossman throughout the mountains to take pictures of families being displaced by the newly-established Great Smoky Mountains National Park's. From left are Bell's niece Marilyn Benson, Newport; his son Clyde Bell, Jr., Gainesville, FL; Bell and his wife Elsie, who reside in Hawthorne, FL; "Heartland Series" creator and host Bill Landry; and Bell's sister Wilma Bell Proffitt, Newport. The segments will air May 25 at 6:55 a.m.; May 26 at 11:30 p.m.; May 27 at 12:25 p.m.; May 28 at 6:55 a.m.; and May 29 at 11:30 p.m.
