NEWPORT-A white male with a handgun and wearing a black
hoodie robbed Edwina Grocery, at 1280 Highway 73, in Newport, on Thursday, Dec.
17.
The suspect took an "undetermined amount of
money" and a pack of Marlboro cigarettes valued at $5.72 in the morning
robbery, according to a report by Deputy Sheriff David Parton.
The suspect was described as being in his 20's, six feet
tall, with dark hair, dark eyes, and a slender build.
