Happy 100th to Raymond Woods, Sr.

Raymond Woods, Sr. of Parrottsville turned 100 years old today. He was born Dec. 11, 1918, in Parrottsville, a son of Sterling and Bessie (McCravey) Woods. He has one living brother, Marvin Woods. His deceased siblings were Dennis, Aaron, and Eulas Woods, Mary Woods, Minnie Woods Arnold, Roxie Woods McMillan, Lucinda ‘Cindy’ Woods Stokely, Ola Woods Hamilton, and Carrie Woods Mills. He has three children: Angeline Sims and Virginia Singleton, both of Parrottsville, and Raymond Woods, Jr., Knoxville, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. He is retired from Union Carbide, Oak Ridge. Friends and family surprised him with a party Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018, at Quality Inn.
