Jordon Thomas-Carl Carpenter, age 22, of Newport TN, formerly of Davison, Michigan, made his way Home, Sweet Home to be with our Heavenly Father on August 13, 2019.
Jordon attended Cosby Elementary and Cocke County High School where he excelled as a student as well as an athlete. He lived his lifelong dream of playing football on the collegiate level until he suffered a career ending injury. He was an avid sports fan and loved University of Michigan football as well as both Cosby and Cocke County athletics. He was just short of earning his bachelor’s degree in finance and his goal of becoming a coach.
Jordon was a light when he entered a room and used these skills in sales positions with Westgate and Holiday Inn Resorts.
Jordon had a large heart and loved everyone, especially his family and close friends. He seemed drawn to the broken that needed him most. He was passionate in all his relationships and touched the lives of so many. His love and support will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Thomas Lee Carpenter of Michigan and both paternal and maternal great-grandparents.
He is survived by his daughter Kiari May Carpenter and the love of his life, Kira Duncan, both of the home; parents Thomas and Brandy Carpenter, Newport (formerly of Michigan), brothers “J2” Jacob Aldon Carpenter and Jacob “Hoover” Carpenter, both of Newport; grandparents Catherine and Carl Harmon of Michigan, and Karen Carpenter of Michigan; uncles Carl Harris (Lisa), Newport and Shawn Harmon of Michigan; aunts Julie South (Everette) and Dawn Stittsworth (Niles) and a host of other family and friends.
Please join us in celebrating a life that touched so many. Visitation will be held at Manes Funeral Home, Sunday August 18, 2019 from noon until 3:00 p.m. with service beginning at 3:00 p.m. with, Reverend Stephen Swann officiating.
