Public intoxication: Officers were dispatched to the area of Smith Street concerning an intoxicated male subject on Tuesday, Oct. 8. Upon arrival, Patrolman Will Garber found the male in question, identified as Stephen D. Jones, 32, Fair Street, and noted that Jones was unsteady on his feet, had slurred speech and had an odor of alcohol about his person. For his safety, he was taken into custody. Jones was charged with public intoxication.

Domestic assault: Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Thompson Street, in reference to a domestic disturbance on Wednesday, Oct. 9. Upon arrival, Patrolman Jordan Douglas spoke with Brandon Mantooth, 30, who said while he and his girlfriend, Kellie M. Williams, 26, were arguing, Williams reportedly threw a plate at him and struck him in the face. Officers observed a wound consistent to Mantooth’s story and Williams was placed under arrest. She was charged with domestic assault.

Probation violation: Mickey Knight, 38, 1017 Walker Hill Way, was served with active outstanding warrants for violation of probation (two counts) on Wednesday, Oct. 9. Patrolman Paul Weber arrested Knight at a residence on Harper Circle without incident.

Reed arrest: Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Charles Street, concerning a domestic disturbance on Wednesday, Oct. 9. Upon arrival, Capt. Brad Ball spoke with Carly Caldwell, who said while she and her boyfriend, Cody J. Reed, 24, were arguing, he allegedly “grabbed” her by the arms and took away her cell phone preventing her from calling police. Caldwell stated she and her child fled the home to a neighbor’s house to call for help. Reed was arrested and charged with domestic assault and interference with an emergency call.

Coles arrest: Shane M. Coles, 20, South Highway 340, was served with an active outstanding warrant for theft of property on Monday, Oct. 7. According to the report, Coles was wanted after he reportedly stole a firearm from Ronnie Landers on September 27. Patrolman Chris Silvers arrested Coles without incident.

Probation violation: Chad Launer, 49, was served with an active outstanding warrant for violation of probation on Thursday, Oct. 10. Patrolman Michael Robey arrested Launer without incident and transported him to the Cocke County Jail Annex.

Child support: James R. Ball, 41, was served with an active outstanding warrant for failure to comply with child support on Thursday, Oct. 10. Patrolman Jordan Douglas arrested Ball at a residence on Lincoln Avenue.
